Picked, not paid for.
Operators don't pay to appear and Mooch takes no commission. Every operator is picked against the same rubric: a specialist rather than a generalist, a few years' trading history, a direct line to the people who run the trips, and prices you can find on their own site.

ABC Boat Hire hires narrowboats from 12 bases across England, Wales and Scotland, from the Kennet & Avon and the Llangollen to the Monmouthshire & Brecon and the Forth & Clyde. Its site lists over 140 routes. Boats sleep two to 12, there is tuition at the start of every holiday, and pets go free, normally up to three per boat.
